Job summary

ConMet is seeking a Quality Auditor in Canton, NC for the second shift (2:30pm - 11pm) to support Operations. You will perform in-process inspections and 1st-piece approvals, while documenting audit activities and non-conforming items.

The role includes specialized testing such as gloss, color analysis, and caliper measurements per work instructions. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or GED) and at least 2 years of related experience or training.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of quality inspection processes in manufacturing.
• Experience with first-article/first-piece inspection.
• Familiarity with analytical testing methods listed in work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections of manufactured goods.
• Provide auditing support to operations as directed or requested by management.
• Perform 1st-piece inspection and approve product quality prior to start of production run.
• Carry out specialized quality testing such as gloss, color analysis, film thickness, adhesion, caliper measurements as required by instructions.
• Document shift activities in the area Audit Report.
• Document and control non-conforming products; complete HOLD tag reporting per work instruction, as needed.
