Job summary

Altria is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for US Smokeless Tobacco in Hopkinsville, KY. The role supports manufacturing by performing QC tests, inspections, and data recording to ensure product quality.

The position requires knowledge of QA techniques, LIMS/TrackWise, and familiarity with lab and process equipment. It involves 1st to 3rd shift availability and a focus on accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate's degree from a two-year college in Science/Technology/Engineering/Business or 5 years of work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Business plus 1 year of work experience.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills (root cause analysis).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Certified Quality Technician or Certified Quality Auditor is helpful, but not required.
• Experience with LIMS, TrackWise and Inventory Management Systems.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs and be on feet most of the day.
• Open to working 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Utilize established sampling/inspection plans to monitor quality attributes and ensure compliance.
• Document, analyze and report test results to QA Management and Manufacturing.
• Assess data for compliance, initiate remedial actions for out-of-control conditions and deviations.
• Verify/calibrate laboratory and manufacturing equipment within protocol.
• Provide training and guidance for contractors and FQA personnel.
