Job summary

Altria Client Services in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking a Quality Manufacturing Technician for the 3rd shift. You will support manufacturing by monitoring quality, performing lab procedures, inspecting products, and recording data.

The role requires adapting to a 7pm–5:30am schedule and collaborating with QA and production teams. The ideal candidate has an Associate degree (or 5 years experience) or a Bachelor’s degree with 1 year experience, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a two-year college in Science/Technology/Engineering/Business or 5 years of work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Business plus 1 year of work experience.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking (root cause analysis).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Certified Quality Technician or Auditor is helpful, but not required.
• Experience with LIMS, TrackWise and Inventory Management Systems.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and be on feet most of the day.
• Open to working 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Utilize sampling/inspection plans and procedures to monitor quality attributes and ensure compliance to specifications.
• Document, analyze & report test results and communicate to QA Management and Manufacturing.
• Assess data for compliance and initiate remedial actions for potential out-of-control conditions and deviations.
• Verify/Calibrate laboratory and manufacturing equipment and adjust within a predefined protocol.
• Provide training and guidance for contractors and FQA personnel.

The position will work in support of the manufacturing process using validated techniques and quality tools to monitor and inspect processes and packaging operations. You will also perform laboratory procedures, inspect products, measure process performance, and record data. You are open to working 7pm-5:30am (3rd shift).

What you will be doing:

• Utilizing established sampling/inspection plans and procedures, perform analytical evaluations to monitor quality attributes to assure compliance to specified requirements.

• You are open to working 3rd shift.

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $55,500.00 - $80,400.00.
