Job summary

Altria is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician at US Smokeless Tobacco in Hopkinsville, KY to monitor quality attributes, inspect processes and perform lab procedures. This role supports manufacturing and packaging operations and requires willingness to work a 3rd shift (7pm–5:30am).

Responsibilities include analyzing test results, reporting to QA Management, calibrating equipment, and guiding contractors.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 5 years of work experience in related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Business + 1 year experience.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with LIMS, TrackWise and Inventory Management Systems.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs and be on feet most of the day.
• Open to working 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical evaluations to monitor quality attributes and ensure compliance to specifications.
• Document, analyze and report test results to QA Management and Manufacturing.
• Assess data for compliance and initiate remedial actions for deviations.
• Verify and calibrate laboratory and manufacturing equipment within protocol.
• Provide training and guidance for contractors and FQA personnel.
