Job summary

Publix Super Markets, Inc. is seeking a laboratory technician to perform microbiological tests, test fat composition, and analyze milk and product samples in a GMP environment.

You will create lab reports, maintain records, support process improvements, and communicate findings to department managers while working in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Dairy Science, Microbiology, or related field required.
• Two years of laboratory experience or equivalent.
• Experience with microbiological testing and product analysis preferred.
• Ability to follow GMPs and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological tests.
• Test fat composition.
• Analyze raw, intermediate and finished milk and product samples.
• Perform environment tests.
• Inspect plant and uphold GMPs.
• Provide accurate and timely information to department managers.
• Keep records and documentation of test results.
• Create and communicate laboratory reports for regulatory agencies and Publix associates.
• Assist teams in applying information for process improvement and resolving quality issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
