Job summary

Publix Super Markets, Inc. in Georgia seeks a Quality Control Technician to perform inspections, verify ingredient and product information, and ensure FDA compliance from raw materials receipt to shipping finished goods.

The role requires strong documentation, GMP knowledge, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety.

Two-year science degree and lab experience are preferred; proficiency with Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspection tasks incl. verification of all ingredient and product information.
• Ensure products manufactured according to FDA regulations including traceability, temperature monitoring, and HACCP records.
• Follow all safety requirements and verify thermometer/product temperatures.
• Collect, process, package, maintain, and retain samples for testing.
• Provide help to all associates in Quality Control and other departments.
• Taste and evaluate product samples received; cross-train in QC responsibilities.
• Record and process samples; handle customer complaints and data entry.
• Conduct compliance auditing; update the plant reference book.

• performing operational and pre-operational inspections
• ensuring that each product is manufactured according to FDA regulations including, but not limited to traceability records, temperature monitoring and HACCP records
• following all safety requirements
• verifying accuracy of thermometers and product temperatures

• providing help to all associates in the Quality Control department and other departments throughout the plant

• being cross-trained in Quality Control responsibilities
