Job summary

AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe Company, LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector to test, inspect, and approve products and samples at various production stages.

You will compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability, and assist in training new personnel as required.

This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment on 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 2nd shift schedule.
• Able to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Able to write simple correspondence.
• Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Able to compute basic arithmetic problems and accurately operate a calculator.
• Able to work with units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Able to follow written or oral instructions.
• Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Able to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

Tests, inspects, and approves products and samples at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. Assists in training new personnel as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be able to work 2nd Shift schedule.
• Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Must be able to write simple correspondence.
• Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Must be able to compute basic arithmetic problems and accurately operate a calculator.
• Must be able to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Must be able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding processes; experience as a welder.

Essential Physical Functions
