Job summary

The NDT Technician at Tampa Tank - Florida Structural Steel a Precision Build Company performs verification of in-process shop fabrication dimensions based on shop drawings and specifications. MT, UT, and RT testing are applied as appropriate to ensure quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include setting up NDT equipment, inspecting welds, documenting results, and ensuring adherence to applicable standards.

Qualifications

  • Level II MT, RT, and UT (minimum of two certifications required).
  • Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma.
  • Language Skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in a professional manner and show respect both orally and in written form effectively with co-workers, other departments, and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict compliance.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Where to find and how to use the "parts‑of‑line" information.
  • Safe working load of the hoist line.

Quality Standards

Must be able to read and understand codes and specifications. The NDT Technician will ensure all inspections comply with applicable standards and specifications.

Teamwork

Teamwork is essential in this position. The NDT Technician must have a positive attitude and be able to work effectively with all departments, managers, and staff.

Actively participate in Safety meetings and promote company safety culture while working closely with the safety department.

Reporting
