Job summary

ABB is seeking a Quality Control / QC Inspector to join the Portland, TN site. The role focuses on product testing on the production floor and in the lab, conducting audits, and ensuring parts meet quality standards.

You will work with Team Leaders and Supervisors to provide QC training and write/update quality procedures as needed. The position supports ABB Installation Products in Portland, TN, with lean initiatives to reduce waste and improve processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in Quality Control or related role.
• Proficient computer skills including email, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production floor activities related to quality.
• Perform daily audits and quality inspections.
• Conduct floor and lab testing using appropriate equipment.
• Use micrometers and calipers for measurements.
• Support calibration program activities.
• Maintain documentation control and data entry.
• Recheck reworked parts to ensure quality standards.
• Provide Quality Control training and procedures updates.
• Develop and manage control plans and reports.
• Lead or participate in special quality projects.
