Job summary

MSI Express, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure product quality through daily line audits and adherence to customer, federal, and state standards.

The role approves batches, monitors core checks, and ensures laboratory procedures are followed to meet specifications. Responsibilities include performing analytical and physical tests on materials and finished products, reporting nonconformities, and maintaining safety practices.

Qualifications

• Coordinate with equipment and tools.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pass all company testing.
• Follow written directions.
• Basic computer skills.

• Process quality documentation accurately.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Approve/correct batches – use basic lab techniques and math.
• Perform lab checks following SOPs and monitoring procedures.
• Conduct pre-ops and Preventive Control checks.
• Notify up-line for noncompliances as per SOP.
• Perform analytical tests (e.g., VC, Salt, Brix, pH, DS meter, TA, Vit C).
• Perform physical tests of raw materials and finished product.
• Conduct special audits on raw materials or products on hold.
• Maintain Food Safety and Quality within scope of influence.
• Report Food Safety/Quality problems promptly to responsible personnel.
• Follow all company policies including safety practices.
• Coach production associates on data collection.
• Perform other duties as instructed by management.
