Job description

Are you familiar with food safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices? Are you skilled in quality inspections and documenting production data? We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team on 2nd shift!

Job Details

• Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (with flexibility to work as early as 3:30am and as late as 10pm, approximately 5 times per month)
• Pay: $19 - $21/hour, depending on experience
• Location: [Specify location if available]
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Measuring, weighing, and visually inspecting goods in production
• Recording key data related to raw material receipt, cleaning, storage temperatures, pest control, metal detection, packing logs, etc.
• Assisting the Quality Manager with logging FDA and USDA data using computers and paper logs
• Calibrating instruments and testing products, including scales and X-ray machines
• Receiving deliveries following safety and handling procedures
• Participating in quarterly safety training
• Auditing and updating product specifications as directed by management

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Wearing steel toe shoes
• Working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• Manual lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Standing for up to 10 hours
• Working up to 10 hours of overtime per week
