Overview

We are currently seeking a Quality Technician to ensure that non-conforming products do not proceed through the production process or reach customers. You will conduct routine quality inspections of raw materials and finished goods, including in-process and final inspections. During these inspections, Quick Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis will be performed to support manufacturing and ensure quality delivery.

Responsibilities:

1. Drive Quality at the Source by providing necessary tools and resources in work areas.
2. Outline Critical to Quality process steps, understand capabilities, controls, and required equipment.
3. Create Work Instructions and Visual Aids to support production lines.
4. Promote a No Defect Forward culture.
5. Support Supervisors and Operations with line calls.
6. Maintain Quality at the Source via controls and inspections.
7. Audit incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished products according to standards.
8. Perform ASTM quality control tests on aggregates and concrete, including field tests and lab work.
9. Ensure test equipment is calibrated and lab area is organized.
10. Keep accurate documentation of testing results.
11. Report quality non-conformances immediately to the supervisor.
12. Collaborate with teams and vendors to resolve quality issues using established methodologies.
13. Analyze technical information and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
14. Support product specifications and new product development by documenting customer expectations and process details.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience as an Inspection or Quality Technician.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to work with urgency and independently.
• Strong teamwork, judgment, planning, and organizational skills.

Physical requirements include sitting, climbing, handling equipment, occasional standing, walking, crawling, kneeling, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
