Purpose

This position provides monitoring and guidance for food regulatory, food safety, and quality assurance initiatives while reinforcing the Sandridge Core Values. The Quality Assurance Technician works under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager to support the Company’s standards for product quality and integrity.

Responsibilities

1. Provide guidance for USDA/FSIS & FDA Regulations applicable to the production of Ready-to-Eat Fresh Salads and Entrées (HACCP, SSOP, Net Weights, & Pre-requisite Programs).
2. Perform daily pre-operational facility and equipment sanitation inspections.
3. Implement quality assurance techniques and programs to ensure finished product 100% First Time Quality (e.g., raw material and finished product organoleptic testing, process control audits, laboratory analytical testing such as titratable acidity, pH, and moisture evaluations).
4. Interact periodically with on-site Regulatory USDA/FSIS Inspectors.
5. Review daily documents generated during production for accuracy and completeness.
6. Provide food safety and quality assurance guidance and support to all external multi-functional departments.
7. Foster continuous improvement efforts.
8. Willingness to work different shifts weekly to support co-workers' vacations and leave of absences.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma.
2. Associates Degree or higher in Culinary Arts, Food Nutrition, Food Science, or Microbiology preferred.
3. HACCP Certification supported by the International Alliance (USDA Products) preferred.
4. ServSafe Certification preferred.
5. Previous experience in food service or food manufacturing preferred.
