Your Role

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for metallurgical and materials testing in the met lab in support of rivet manufacturing. You will report to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

This is a 2nd shift opportunity: 1:00pm-9:30pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Inspect raw materials and Atlas Henrob's rivet manufacturing processes efficiently.
2. Perform laboratory testing and inspection, including wire tensile strength, Rockwell and micro-hardness testing, metallographic sample preparation, microstructure interpretation, and plating thickness inspection.
3. Use Syspro to update receiving and in-process inspections as required.
4. Enter data into QDA.
5. Assist in investigating quality issues, field failures, and root cause analysis.
6. Maintain cleanliness of the met lab according to standard practices.
7. Work safely following all safety policies.
8. Shut down rivet production as required.
9. Perform other related duties as directed by the Quality Assurance Supervisor or Quality Engineer.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Hands-on experience with metallurgical inspection equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, good communication and organizational skills.
• Confidence to stop production professionally when necessary.
• Self-motivated and goal-driven.
• High energy and interpersonal skills.
• Visual acuity for inspection and measurements.
• Knowledge of Syspro and QDA is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma, Associates degree, or 2 years of equivalent experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Periodic heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
