Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Quality Assurance leader to develop, implement, and supervise all QA activities to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality operation across the department.

You'll maintain SOPs, oversee a product assurance program, coordinate with other departments, train managers, and lead a team of technicians while adapting to evenings, weekends and holiday demands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years related experience in quality assurance.
• 1+ year supervisor experience required.
• Must be flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and supervise all QA procedures to ensure safe operations.
• Develop and modify product assurance program and delineate responsibilities, personnel requirements, and procedures.
• Evaluate department reports and assist in budgeting for the product assurance program.
• Conduct management meetings and training to coordinate inter-department functions.
• Maintain plant quality systems in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Supervise a team of technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Job description

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining and supervising all aspects of Quality Assurance to ensure proper, safe and exceptional operation of the department.

• Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Developing initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance program to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within program
• Evaluating the contents of reports from product assurance program department heads and confers with top management personnel preparatory to formulating fiscal budget for product assurance program
• Conducting management meetings and training with product assurance program department heads to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives
• Maintaining plant quality systems in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
• Supervising a team of technicians
• Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 5+ years related experience
• 1+ year supervisor experience
• Demonstrates problem solving capabilities
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suit (Outlook, Work, Excel)
• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends, and holidays
