Gordonaluminum is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure product quality and cost targets. Under the direction of the Department Manager, you will align with the Customer 1st Philosophy and support quality activity across the production floor.

You will issue RMAs/DMRs, create inspection docs, and perform first piece and in-process inspections, including tensile testing as needed. A GED or high school diploma with related experience qualifies you for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mathematical skills: ability to calculate figures, percentages, area, and volume; basic algebra/geometry.
• Language skills: ability to read, analyze, interpret, and write business reports and procedures.
• Reasoning ability: define problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Physical demands: wear safety equipment; ability to talk, stand/walk, sit; close vision.
• Work environment: exposure to fumes/airborne particles; moderate noise; PPE required on the floor.

Responsabilités

• Creates and issues return material authorizations to customers as needed.
• Creates and issues DMRs to vendors as needed.
• Creates quality documentation for the production floor, including inspection documentation.
• Completes and submits ISIR documentation as required.
• Creates and updates packing instructions as required.
• Creates credit memos for customers that return material.
• Assists and fills in for floor quality technicians as needed, including first piece and in-process inspections and tensile testing.
