Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in construction or fabrication.
• Experience with ASME pressure vessel fabrication.
• Knowledge of GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, SAW and PAW welding processes.
• Experience developing WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs.
• Strong ASME Code knowledge and documentation.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API 1104, ASME Sections I, V, VIII, IX, and AWS D1.1.
• NDE methods knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work with customers, inspectors, engineers, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop project-specific quality plans, including ITPs, welding compliance plans, weld mapping, and related documentation.
• Lead improvements to quality processes, systems, audits, and training.
• Provide quality support to shop and field personnel.
• Develop WPSs, PQRs, and WPQs and provide welding support.
• Complete ASME Code data reports and final quality packages.
• Develop QA/QC procedures and process sheets.
• Work with customers, AIA representatives, and third-party inspectors.
• Review customer specifications and support estimating.
• Provide technical solutions related to welding, NDE, Codes, heat treatment, passivation, and mechanical testing.
• Perform shop and field inspections of pressure vessels and boilers as needed.
• Partner with the Welding Engineer and Metallurgist on welding and materials projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and cost.
