ManpowerGroup is assisting a leading steel manufacturer in Beaumont, TX, in seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to guide the Quality Control team and ensure product quality from Melt Shop to finished billets.

The ideal candidate has extensive steelmaking experience, a four-year Engineering degree, and at least 8 years in quality/metallurgy roles, with strong analytical and communication skills. Relocation assistance is provided to Vidor, Texas.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of steelmaking production processes, metallurgy, and modern rolling practices.
• A four-year degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a steelmaking environment, preferably with quality control or metallurgy expertise.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and extrapolate production data for quality improvements.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical coordination and support for the Melt Shop and Rolling Mill to develop and refine operating procedures ensuring quality standards are met.
• Evaluate customer requirements and product specifications, aligning production capabilities with quality expectations.
• Lead and oversee the Quality Control team, including QA Engineers and Lab Technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop, communicate, and review engineering and operating data to produce billets and finished products that meet customer specifications.
• Visit customer sites as needed to address technical issues, support new product development, and strengthen customer relationships.
