As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be an integral part of the Quality Control department supporting the production and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Beaumont, Texas
Pay Range: $130,000 - $160,000
Provide technical coordination and support for the Melt Shop and Rolling Mill to develop and refine operating procedures ensuring quality standards are met.
Evaluate customer requirements and product specifications, aligning production capabilities with quality expectations.
Lead and oversee the Quality Control team, including QA Engineers and Lab Technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Develop, communicate, and review engineering and operating data to produce billets and finished products that meet customer specifications.
Visit customer sites as needed to address technical issues, support new product development, and strengthen customer relationships.
Extensive knowledge of steelmaking production processes, metallurgy, and modern rolling practices.
A four-year degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a steelmaking environment, preferably with quality control or metallurgy expertise.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and extrapolate production data for quality improvements.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
