Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality function at our Houston manufacturing facility. The role requires 5–10 years of manufacturing quality experience, strong ISO 9001 knowledge, and hands-on leadership to drive quality improvements, customer satisfaction, and lean initiatives.

You'll oversee QMS development, audits, CAPA, and supplier quality, collaborating with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Customer Service to resolve issues and deliver measurable quality

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of quality leadership experience; experience with cable assemblies, wire harnesses, connectors, electronics, electromechanical assemblies, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Experience with 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Epicor, Sage, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer quality requirements.
• Manage internal, external, and customer audits.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and CAPA.
• Monitor FPY, defects, scrap, rework, customer returns, and supplier quality.
• Develop and maintain Control Plans, FMEA, inspection procedures, and quality documentation.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Manage calibration and inspection equipment.
• Support customer complaints and supplier quality issues.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and develop Quality Inspectors and Quality Engineers.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Customer Service to resolve quality issues.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience will be considered
• Preferred certifications include ASQ CMQ/OE, ASQ CQE, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
