Description

Bridgestone HosePower, LLC is the premier distributor of Hydraulic and Industrial hose products, with over 39 years of experience. Due to growth and increased business demands, HosePower is seeking a globally savvy, quality-focused professional to join our Orange Park, FL-based Quality Assurance Team. The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee the development and analysis of statistical data and specifications to determine current standards and establish quality and reliability expectations. Once established, the QA manager will manage, plan, coordinate, and lead the quality control program to ensure continuous production and service quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Formulates and maintains quality control objectives, coordinating with production procedures and other managers to maximize quality and reliability while minimizing costs.
2. Manages, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in activities to ensure control over materials, facilities, services, and products.
3. Develops and implements methods for monitoring work activities, such as preparing records of expenditures and progress reports, to inform management of current work status.
4. Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to quality and reliability.
5. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work issues.
6. Recruits, hires, trains staff, evaluates employee performance, and recommends or initiates promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions.
7. Interprets and enforces company policies to employees.
8. Investigates customer complaints regarding quality and makes necessary adjustments.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master's) are a plus for higher roles.
• Experience: 3-5+ years in quality assurance/control, with leadership or supervisory experience, especially in manufacturing environments involving fluid power and hose manufacturing.
• Skills: Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, data analysis, leadership, knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001), familiarity with quality tools/software, attention to detail.
• Certifications: ASQ, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or similar certifications are advantageous.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience with fluid power systems, hoses, manufacturing processes, and industry standards/regulations related to fluid power and hose manufacturing.
