Job Title - Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Logansport, IN

Company: Brightpath Associates LLC

Overview: We are an international supplier of fresh/frozen fish and meat raw materials for the pet food, feed, and pharmaceutical industries. We are seeking a motivated individual to ensure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practices (GMP), validating processes, and providing documentation.

Responsibilities:

1. Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications, measuring production, documenting evidence, and updating quality assurance procedures.
2. Maintain and improve product quality through audits, investigating customer complaints, and collaborating on manufacturing and training methods.
3. Respond to customer requests, including audits, quality statements, and new specifications.
4. Update and maintain HACCP programs and lead scheduled HACCP team meetings.
5. Manage calibration and updates of analytical testing equipment and liaise with vendors.
6. Develop and maintain a Food Safety/Defense Program compliant with USDA/FDA standards, including the Food Safety Modernization Act.
7. Complete Certificate of Analysis (COA) forms.
8. Coordinate with VP Operations and oversee communication with USDA-APHIS, USDA-FSIS, Nebraska State Department of Agriculture, and FDA.
9. Coordinate QA initiatives with other QA Managers.
10. Ensure plant compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in consultation with the Plant Manager.
11. Stay updated on trends and developments in quality management through continuous education and professional networking.
12. Follow all safety guidelines and wear PPE.
13. Support and enforce company policies and attendance guidelines.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Excellent communication skills across organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in QA or QC roles.
• Experience in the meat processing industry is a plus but not required.
