Job summary

Goodwill Industries of South Florida seeks a Quality Assurance Assistant Manager to support the QA Manager in daily quality operations, maintain the Quality Management System, and ensure compliance with customer, government, and ISO 9001:2015 requirements. Collaboration with Engineering, Production, and Procurement is essential to meet quality objectives.

The role covers inspections, corrective actions, supplier quality, training, and continuous improvement, with leadership duties for QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quality management or related field or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements; ASQ certification preferred.
• Ability to apply professional judgment and work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams).
• Experience with Paycom, Exenta, and Eton systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Manager in managing the Quality Management System and daily QA activities across manufacturing operations.
• Support M&D initiatives, new product introductions, and active production projects by integrating customer requirements and quality expectations into processes.
• Interpret customer requirements, government specifications, and commercial standards for production implementation.
• Develop, implement, and monitor process controls, inspection methods, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate inspections (incoming, in-process, final) and review returned materials and customer complaints.
• Analyze quality data, report KPIs, and support quality management review meetings; drive corrective actions and supplier quality activities.
