Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager for the Indio Center in Indio, CA. The role oversees QA programs for outpatient services, ensuring documentation accuracy and program compliance.

The manager educates staff, tracks report completions, and coordinates with EMR, Research, and Finance teams to maintain quality standards. The ideal candidate has a social science Bachelor’s, 4+ years in mental health QA, and 1+ year in supervision, with a California driver’s license

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social science field.
• 4+ years of experience in a Mental Health Agency or County Behavioral Health Program.
• 2 years of Quality Assurance or Medical Records experience.
• 1 year in a management/supervisory role preferred.
• 1 year of mental health experience preferred.
• Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days; First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA programs for outpatient services to ensure quality.
• Educate, track, and monitor report completions; coordinate documentation by staff.
• Coordinate with EMR, Research, Program Practices, and Finance departments.
• Lead Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives and prepare for external reviews.
• Ensure conformity with Medi‑Cal, county standards and internal policies.
