Job summary

Marathon Cheese Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance leader to safeguard compliance and drive continuous improvement across operations. You will use auditing, CAPA, trend analysis and SPC to assure finished goods meet food safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and experience with GMPs, regulatory requirements, and audit programs across the dairy sector. Collaborative problem-solving and ongoing training are essential.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or similar scientific discipline, and 1–3 years of relevant experience; or a Bachelors degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety auditing, preventive controls, GMPs, regulatory expectations and quality systems.
• Experience with internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the Quality team in plant and laboratory.
• Ensure plant compliance with all Quality policies, programs and procedures.
• Manage HACCP and Food Safety Plan development, assessments and validations.
• Ensure audit program compliance (FDA, WDATCP, SQF, USDA, etc.).
• Liaise with Customer Services and Sales on complaint investigation and communication.
• Promote Quality awareness throughout plant operations.
• Drive improvements and monitor Quality KPIs at the facility.
• Develop and execute training programs supporting Food Safety and Quality objectives.
• Manage QA projects from inception to final reports and implementations.
• Participate in Plant Crisis Management Team (Recall Team).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
