Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Quality Engineer within the Power market. You will report to project management and oversee quality performance, ensuring conformity to procedures, managing nonconformances, rework, and corrective actions across projects.

You will liaise with customers, vendors, and subcontractors, support quality assurance and control activities, and help maintain the Kiewit/TIC Quality Management System while promoting standardization across districts.

Qualifications

• At least four years’ engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus two years’ experience in related construction field.
• Must be legally authorized to work without requiring sponsorship for employment to begin or continue employment with our company.
• Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills; ability to research and convey detailed information to field personnel.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint; quick to learn other software.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project teams and engineers/clients as required.
• Examine field conditions and identify problems; take corrective actions as needed.
• Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions to minimize them.
• Maintain knowledge of the Kiewit/TIC Quality Management System and promote standardization.
• Manage Welding Procedure Specification logs and files for assigned districts.
• Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports.
