Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician will be responsible for daily tasks related to the receiving and final inspection of products.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform acceptance inspection and testing of all procured components, sub-assemblies, and raw materials.
  2. Perform final inspection and acceptance of all customer spare parts orders.
  3. Complete all applicable forms related to the inspection process.
  4. Follow documented procedures and best inspection practices.
  5. Understand and perform qualifications of received fabrics, materials, and supplies.
  6. Conduct qualification tests (Flame, Tear, Radiant Heat, Tensile) and generate results.
  7. Communicate and coordinate activities and results with other facilities as needed.
  8. Perform monthly calibration and record data in calibration software.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To succeed, candidates should:

  • Have a High School diploma or GED.
  • Possess 6 months to 1 year of related experience or training.
  • Be able to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, instructions, and regulations.
  • Be able to write routine reports and present information effectively.
  • Have basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding of ratios and percentages.
  • Possess basic technical reasoning skills to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
Job Requirements

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

Most work is performed sitting, with requirements to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands for handling objects and controls. Visual acuity including close and distance vision is necessary.

Work Environment

The work may involve proximity to moving equipment, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise levels are usually moderate.
