Job summary

Wis-Pak Inc. in Norfolk, NE is seeking a Quality Assurance Lab Technician (2nd Shift) to sanitize tanks, manage ingredients and ensure compliance with quality standards.

You will unload sugar/concentrate, maintain logs, and perform routine inventory checks while following GMP and food safety requirements. The role requires reading, writing, and speaking English, and the ability to work 12-hour nights with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic mathematical skills and problem solving.
• Good communication and English reading/writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize tanks and equipment to ensure company quality standards.
• Locate necessary ingredients in inventory and transport to syrup room for blending syrup ingredients according to established standards.
• Unload sugar/concentrate.
• Maintain records and logs of procedures, results, and observations.
• Interpret blending/sanitation schedule requirements and plan personal schedule accordingly to suit priorities.
• Periodically perform inventory checks and sort concentrates; assure ingredient stock is rotated.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and organized.
• Comply with all safety, GMP, sanitation and food safety requirements.

5:00pm-5:00am, Monday - Friday, occasional weekends may be required.

Pay range:

$24.60/hr + $1.75 Shift Differential

What We're Looking For

• The ideal candidate will have a high school education or equivalent, basic mathematical skills, the ability to problem solve, and good communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Requires the ability to operate and utilize a computer, and laboratory and test equipment.
• Basic knowledge of soft drink operations and SPC is preferred, but not required.
• Must exhibit ability and desire to work within a team but can work alone.
• Works with minimal supervision, be a self-starter who leads by example, and be dependable.
• Requires the ability to lift 75 daily basis and must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. The company will not sponsor employment visas now or in the future
• Applicants must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English at a level necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
