Job summary

Wis-Pak, Inc. in Hattiesburg, MS is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform product quality testing and monitor production lines for compliance with established standards.

You will analyze raw materials, syrups, water systems, and finished products, while documenting results and supporting sanitation and safety initiatives. The role requires two years of related experience or an Associate Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field, and familiarity with laboratory equipment

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience or an Associate Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Experience with laboratory equipment such as HPLC, pH meters, balances, or similar technology (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Perform product quality testing using laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Monitor production lines and help ensure products meet established standards.
• Conduct analyses on raw materials, syrups, water systems, and finished products.
• Assist with troubleshooting and documenting quality-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and test results.
• Support sanitation and food safety initiatives throughout the facility.
• Monitor and maintain water treatment and RO systems.
• Prepare and blend ingredients according to established formulas.
• Assist with inventory activities and unloading raw materials.
• Work safely while following all food safety, GMP, quality, and company standards.

What You'll Bring

We're seeking someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old
• Has two years of related experience or an Associate Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field
• Enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced environment
• Has strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Is comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
• Communicates effectively and takes pride in producing quality work
• Has experience with laboratory equipment such as HPLC, pH meters, balances, or similar technology (preferred but not required)
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Lifting up to 75 pounds
• Climbing ladders and stairs
• Working in a manufacturing environment while following all safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment
