Wis-Pak, Inc. in Norfolk, NE is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support beverage quality testing and ensure product safety and compliance. The role involves performing physical and analytical tests on finished syrup and beverages, maintaining records, and following GMP and safety policies.

The ideal candidate has basic math skills, good English communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training provided; sponsorship not offered.

About The Role

• Understand and follow all established safety, health, quality, Food Safety, GMP and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
• Conduct testing processes and procedures to perform physical and analytical product quality tests on finished syrup and beverage, inspect raw materials, and perform microbiological testing. Use laboratory test equipment and apparatus to conduct tests.
• Run control drink on finished syrups to ensure taste and quality.
• Maintain files and test results, record corrective procedures, control reports and supporting data in accordance with prescribed procedures.
• Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of equipment through calibration and documentation.

What You'll Bring

• The ideal candidate will have basic mathematical skills, the ability to problem solves, and good communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Requires the ability to operate and utilize a computer, and laboratory and test equipment.
• Basic knowledge of soft drink operations and SPC is preferred but not required.
• Must exhibit ability and desire to work within a team but can work alone.
• Works with minimal supervision, be a self-starter who leads by example, and be dependable.
• Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. The company will not sponsor employment visas now or in the future
• Applicants must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English at a level necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
