Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC in Heflin, Alabama is seeking a Quality Assurance 1 to monitor and ensure wire products meet Southwire and Laboratory specifications. The role requires a high school diploma, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience with SAP, Advaris, and Shopfloor.

The shift is 6 PM to 6 AM, with a pay rate of $26.64 to $28.34 per hour. You will document tests, track data in iFix, and perform quality checks to uphold ISO standards and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP, Advaris, and Shopfloor.
• English: read, write, and speak; Spanish is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Document all tests and production on required forms, tags, and computer systems.
• Monitor production data from iFix to assign rod grade.
• Cut samples per customer specifications and indicated on product specs.
• Hold tags and QA samples; inspect and test wire to meet standards.
• Issue stop tags prohibiting use/sale if it fails to meet standards.
• Complete machine checks and related reports; maintain clean work area.
• Check correct PCS tags on finished wire.
• Pass monthly tests to ensure operator understanding of procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
