Job Description

SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector III performs inspection of aviation accessories in accordance with current technical data provided in the Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Airworthiness Directives, Regulations, and Quality procedures acceptable to or approved by the FAA. Inspection is performed to ensure product integrity and compliance with all requirements, and that customer requirements are fully met prior to completion of inspection.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete first run articles with support from engineering.
  • Monitor shelf life and properly segregate expired chemicals.
  • Verify maintenance and repair tasks are performed correctly according to manuals, drawings, and regulations.
  • Ensure traceability and accuracy of documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality concerns in real-time.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of aviation accessories for compliance with FAA regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of accessories.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to inspect parts for defects and deviations.
  • Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Review technical documents, drawings, and CMM reports for accurate inspections.
  • Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of inspection/relevant experience or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience.
  • Understanding of unit functionality.
  • Ability to determine product configuration from technical documents and training.
  • Decisiveness in product acceptance.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Dependability and accountability.
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and adaptability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Visual acuity meeting standards.
  • Fluent in English.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6+ years of aviation quality inspection experience, especially in MRO.
  • Experience with quality management systems.
  • Ability to perform final inspections and prepare release documents.

OTHER: The selected applicant will undergo background checks and drug testing.
