Q uality Assurance Inspector – 2nd Shift - Abilene, KS

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 2ndShift Quality Assurance Inspector for our Paint department at our Abilene West facility in Abilene, KS.

This position works Monday-Thursday 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., plus overtime on Fridays as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review manufacturing processes throughout the facility to ensure a quality product
• Identify defective parts in each department and address as needed
• Troubleshoot causes of defects and make recommendations for changes
• Inspect equipment to confirm proper welds, paint and fasteners
• Interpret Engineering blueprints to ensure product meets specifications
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience understanding proper welds, paint and fasteners
• Ability to read and understand engineering prints
• Demonstrate working familiarity with precision measuring tools
• Ability to communicate accurately both written and verbal
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Excellent organizational skills
• Highly self-motivatedwith great interpersonal skills
• Previous experience as a QA Inspector in a manufacturing environment helpful
