Description
Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Assistant Supervisor supports the QA Supervisor in overseeing daily
quality control operations to ensure product accuracy, workflow efficiency, and
departmental communication. This role coordinates across teams to track orders, resolve
production issues, maintain reporting systems, and ensure compliance with company
standards. The Assistant Supervisor also serves as a point of contact for escalations and
provides backup leadership when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Oversight & Process Management
- Assist in supervising QA team operations and maintaining quality standards across
products and processes. - Monitor and address product labeling issues, QC concerns, and package holds.
- Oversee and document special QA tasks such as golden samples, New Component
Forms, and photo documentation. - Distribute and track hologram stickers for the
Order Tracking & Resolution - Track express and aged orders to ensure timely processing and shipment.
- Investigate and resolve lost or missing orders.
- Communicate with the appropriate teams to identify and resolve issues related to
orders or product batches.
Workload Balancing & Team Coordination:
- Balance workload across QA departments per supervisor directives.
- Run end-time estimates and assist in shifting resources based on real-time
priorities. - Direct Take-In Helpers and log their assignments based on departmental needs.
Administrative Support & Reporting
- Reconcile timecards weekly to prevent overtime and confirm punch accuracy.
- Generate and maintain workload, performance, and efficiency reports.
- Maintain and update Backlog tracking spreadsheets with accurate data and
formulas. - Upload and distribute HR-related documentation (e.g., write-ups, accident reports,
forms).
Automation & Communication
- Maintain automation processes, including POC requests, EOD submissions, and
time-off tracking. - Ensure QR code systems and digital workflows operate correctly across teams.
- Support responsibilities and check-in operations when primary leads are
unavailable. - Act as the main point of contact to help resolve tech problems, label concerns, and
items waiting to be processed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or production environments.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools; familiarity with workflow
automation is a plus. - Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and cross-departmental needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- May be required to lift or move packages up to [50 lbs].
- Work environment includes production floor and office setting.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
The expected salary range for this position is $18.00-$22.00 hourly. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
