Job summary
Verto People is seeking a Quality Engineer / QA Engineer / Inspection Engineer to support quality assurance activities for a global rotating equipment manufacturer based in Houston.
You will coordinate inspection and testing, ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and API/ASME/AWS codes, review NCRs, drive root cause analysis, calibrate inspection equipment, and support audits across multiple sites.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in quality assurance, quality engineering, or inspection in manufacturing or service environments.
- Experience with rotating equipment including inspection, assembly, repair or overhaul.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant industry codes (API, ASME, AWS) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support inspection and testing processes to ensure dimensional, metallurgical and NDT compliance.
- Review non-conformance reports, dispositions, and ensure timely closure.
- Assist root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to improve quality.
- Ensure inspection equipment calibration and maintain NDT records.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering to resolve quality issues on production and repair.
- Support customer and third-party audits with prepared documentation.
- Track inspection performance, defect trends, and report quality metrics.
- Contribute to continuous improvements of inspection procedures and QMS adherence.
