Job summary

Pump Reliability Solutions, LLC in Houston is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure every API pump part, machined component, and welded repair leaving our shop meets exact specifications down to 0.0001 inch.

You will take precise measurements, read technical drawings, document findings, and collaborate with production and engineering on corrective actions to maintain quality and schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in QC/inspection — API pumps, rotating equipment, or precision machining.
• Background as a pump/rotating equipment mechanic a strong plus
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
• NDT/ASNT Level II (PT) certification a plus, not required

Responsibilities

• Inspect API pump parts (casings, impellers, shafts, sleeves, seals) for conformance to drawings and specs
• Inspect manufactured/fabricated parts for dimensional accuracy and material integrity
• Evaluate welded repairs against structural, visual, and code standards (AWS/ASME)
• Take precision measurements with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, to 0.0001"
• Document findings and partner with production/engineering on corrective actions
