Job summary

NOV is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure components and assemblies meet stringent standards for mixers and agitators. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using precision tools and GD&T to verify dimensions and tolerances.

You will contribute to root cause analysis, support corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (manual and digital).
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Experience inspecting welds, finishes, and assemblies.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems; API/ASME a plus.
• Proficiency with QMS software and MS Office for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on components and assemblies.
• Verify dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and more.
• Inspect welds, coatings, and assemblies per drawings and specs.
• Interpret tolerances and GD&T for complex parts.
• Conduct functional checks (run-out, concentricity, shaft straightness).
• Utilize CMM or portable arms when applicable.
• Provide feedback to machinists and welders to address issues.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects.
• Contribute to lean and continuous improvement and reduce rework.
• Ensure safe inspection practices and proper PPE usage.
• Coordinate with calibration vendors to manage gage calibration.
• Document NCRs and notify stakeholders of nonconformities.
