Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality efforts across projects, manufacturing, and supply chain. You will drive risk mitigation, root-cause analysis, and CAPA programs to ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and Supply Chain to maintain product quality and process verification. A proactive, detail-oriented engineer with strong communication will thrive in this role and

Qualifications

• Five+ years in quality engineering within manufacturing or engineered products
• Experience leading root cause investigations
• Experience with turbomachinery, rotating equipment or complex assemblies preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as the quality lead on assigned customer projects, ensuring compliance to technical, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements
• Review ITPs for clarity of control points and alignment to expectations
• Develop and manage Quality Plans and QC documentation for contract deliverables
• Oversee nonconformances using structured problem-solving (8D/5-Why/Fishbone)
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to evaluate supplier performance and implement risk-based quality strategies
• Perform QC verifications for direct materials at Pearland Works
• Coordinate calibration activities with external partners
• Support and lead internal, customer and third-party audits to ISO 9001:2015
• Monitor quality metrics and drive improvement across jobs and suppliers
• Mentor junior engineers and inspection staff
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives for QMS enhancements
