Job summary
Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Quality Engineer for Rotating Equipment to strengthen supplier quality assurance and support technical sourcing at the Pine Bend refinery. You will drive performance management of repairs, equipment conformity, and lifecycle records within the Machinery Reliability Technical Group (MRTG).
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve supplier capability, review repair scopes, and support audits and turnarounds using data-driven quality
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, rotating equipment repair, maintenance, or reliability engineering roles.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related discipline.
- Experience with a quality management program.
Responsibilities
- Quality Control Programs & Documentation: Implement and maintain inspection and quality control requirements.
- Engineering Standards & Specification Support: Verify supplier compliance with drawings and manufacturer requirements.
- Supplier Qualification & Performance Management: Lead supplier quality and performance improvement efforts.
- Supplier Quality Engineering & Repair Oversight: Review repair scopes, inspection plans, and documentation for conformance.
- Sourcing & Procurement Collaboration: Partner with Procurement on sourcing strategies and supplier selection.
