Job summary

Baker Hughes seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to validate software, hardware, and integrated solutions across the Bently Nevada portfolio. You will develop robust test strategies, automate testing, and support continuous improvement in an Agile setting.

You will collaborate with software developers, product owners, and fellow QA engineers to ensure high quality and reliable product delivery, participating in sprint ceremonies and CI/CD activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
• Experience with manual and automated testing practices (academic or professional).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile teams.
• Adaptable in dynamic environments with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute small to medium quality engineering assignments.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for acceptance, functional, regression, performance, and reliability testing.
• Execute manual and automated testing across software, hardware, and integrated environments.
• Review requirements and collaborate with feature owners to develop test plans and strategies.
• Create end-to-end test cases based on business requirements and domain knowledge.
• Participate in exploratory testing, bug bashes, and release readiness activities.
• Set up hardware and software test environments.
• Support CI pipelines by integrating automated testing into development workflows.
• Identify, document, and track software and hardware defects.
• Provide reproduction steps, logs, and data for issue resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to diagnose issues and validate fixes.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives across products and processes.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Drive quality throughout the product development lifecycle.
