Job description

Overview

National Debt Relief (NDR) is currently seeking a seasoned, hands-on, and highly motivated, QA Engineer to help drive our business forward. This role’s primary objective is to ensure speedy delivery of quality solutions to NDRs stakeholders with a heavy emphasis on building QA process to simplify and speed up testing delivery. The role works closely with our product managers and development team to prepare test plans, document test cases, and verify functionality before release.

The successful candidate will be a passionate QA Engineer with knowledge of Salesforce backend, lightning UI, LWC, and Flows, an excellent communicator/ facilitator, and a collaborative teammate who thrives in a highly agile and fast paced environment. Our ideal candidate will have experience with both manual and automated testing as one of our goals is to utilize automation to increase quality and improve velocity. The candidate must be comfortable speaking to both product and developer audiences and have a solid track record of testing projects at scale. The candidate will be part of a team responsible for implementing successful QA processes and building out an automation test suite for Salesforce.

This remote role will work with a growing team of technical professionals and will be a critical position will allow the NDR product and development team to deliver more often, with smoother deployments, that are defect free.

Responsibilities
  • Translate user stories provided by product into test plans and scenarios that are aligned to provided acceptance criteria while thinking critically to know when additional testing and impact analysis is required.
  • Design and build test automation scripts leveraging preferred automation software to ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and regression testing requirements.
  • Create usability and Black Box tests for Salesforce including backend processes, UI, LWC, Lightning components and Flows in order to validate end-to-end processes.
  • Work with leadership to implement an overall QA strategy from the ground up to ensure quality of existing and future functionality and incorporate the strategy in the existing CI/CD automation with growing Quality team.
  • Provide oversight, creation of test plans and work with the developers on releases and deployments, including the implementation of quality gates.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects including ongoing evaluation and re-ordering of priorities as business needs dictate.
  • Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from stakeholders, colleagues, and leaders.
  • Flexible and creative in problem solving and identifying process improvements.
  • Have fun, get creative, and deliver value together with the whole team.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in QA required, including working with tools like Gearset, Jenkins, GitHub or equivalent.
  • 3 years’ experience of Salesforce QA experience including testing Flows, LWC, Apex, as well as integrations such as E-sign solutions.
  • 2 years’ experience writing queries in SQL, SOQL, or similar language and working with automation/automation tooling.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent skills in test planning, test design, and strategic problem solving.
  • Strong and effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptionally organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Passionate learner and contributor of innovative ideas and execution.
  • Experience testing all layers of a web application, especially the service layer, back-end testing, and integration testing is a plus.
  • Patient, meticulous, communicative, and iterative in your thought, including ability to debug, analyze and work independently.
  • Excitement for designing, implementing, and evolving a test strategy from the ground up including automation for faster delivery and regression.
  • Understanding of how manual and automation testing fits into a CI/CD environment.
  • Familiarity with Lightning Design System Framework.
  • Strong familiarity with Agile project management process and tools like Jira/Confluence.
  • Independent and comfortable in an evolving and fast paced work environment.

Compensation Information
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $95,000 to $110,000 annually.
