Job Description

Position Overview:

You will work with the development team, product, and other teams within Rockwell Automation to help ensure our products are reliable and user-friendly. As a QA engineer on the ThinManager team, you will support the engineering team with unit and system testing. Will create test cases, test automation and test documentation. You will report to the engineering manager.

ThinManager is a centralized device management and content delivery platform. ThinManager utilizes a diverse technology stack to deliver a unique set of capabilities to the plant floor. You will gain experience with modern networking, operating systems, docker containers, virtual machines and more.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work with the development team to validate software releases promptly.
• Replicate customer identified issues and validate anomaly resolution.
• Perform manual testing of ThinManager user interface and thin client interface to ensure requirements and quality standards are met.
• Develop test automation of manual test cases
• Document and report test results, identifying and describing any defects found.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and help define testing needs
• Use Jira to organize and track stories and anomalies.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Typically requires 2+ years experience in software quality assurance
• Understanding of basic network infrastructure / architecture
• Experience with Agile development
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems
• Experience with C++ / C#
• Experience with JIRA
• Experience with test automation tools
• Automation industry experience
