The Panther Group is seeking a Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer to lead and elevate product quality across advanced hardware systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on engineering environment and is passionate about driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all aspects of Quality Assurance and Quality Control across products and processes.
- Measure, test, evaluate, and document product performance to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications, including Verification, Validation, and Qualification testing.
- Perform inspections, failure analysis, and quality investigations using process management, statistical analysis, and manufacturing quality principles.
- Utilize lab and test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, and signal generators.
- Plan and manage quality workloads, schedules, resources, and risk using tools such as Gantt charts, Pareto analysis, and PERT/CPM methodologies.
- Lead resolution efforts for customer and internal product quality issues with a focus on achieving zero defects.
- Conduct internal, supplier, and ISO 13485 / ISO 9001:2016 audits as required.
- Support certification efforts and customer audit activities.
- Troubleshoot complex product issues, perform root cause analysis, and generate corrective actions and formal reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead cross-functional quality projects.
- Develop and maintain company policies, procedures, specifications, and end-user documentation.
- Partner with engineering teams to address hardware/software upgrades and technical concerns.
- Support and improve product development and production workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control within medical/13485 systems environments.
- Strong expertise in Concurrent Engineering and Process Management methodologies.
- Experience working with video-specific test equipment and high-speed video/audio/data transmission technologies.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and environmental product testing methods and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience communicating policy and procedural changes clearly across departments.
- Lean / 5S training preferred.
