Job summary

Eastridge Workforce Solutions seeks a Quality Assurance Director in Monterey Park, CA to own the Quality Management System for a growing food and beverage manufacturer. You will report to the CEO and drive food safety, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across all product lines.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will mentor the QA team, lead GFSI/BRCGS programs, ensure FDA 21 CFR Part 111/117 compliance, and manage supplier quality systems and CAPAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• 5+ years of QA/QC leadership in food/manufacturing.
• Direct expertise in FDA 21 CFR Part 111/117 regulations.
• Active HACCP/PCQI certifications and GFSI systems experience.
• Proven track record leading regulatory, customer, and third‑party audits.
• Experience managing batch records, specs, and testing protocols.

Salary Pay Range – top and bottom range and Other Compensation:

The salary range for this position is expected to be between $140,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

About the Role:

Are you a quality leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environments? Take full ownership of the Quality Management System for a fast-scaling private label manufacturing leader. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will act as the ultimate technical authority for food safety, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across all site product lines.

In this hands‑on shop‑floor leadership role, you will mentor a dedicated QA team and serve as the main link between plant operations, top national retail accounts, and federal inspectors. You will lead GFSI/BRCGS programs, FDA 21 CFR Part 111/117 compliance, and supplier quality systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and refine the facility QMS, ensuring strict compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 111 and Part 117 regulations.
• Direct all GFSI/BRCGS certification programs and serve as primary audit lead for clients and regulatory agencies.
• Manage product release, batch record reviews (MMRs/BPRs), lab testing oversight, and supplier safety programs.
• Maintain facility HACCP/HARPC plans, monitoring critical control points and executing plant-wide risk assessments.
• Lead root‑cause investigations for product non‑conformances and customer complaints to execute sustainable CAPAs.
• Mentor and develop plant QA staff, including the QA Supervisor and QA Technicians, to build audit readiness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
• 5+ years of QA/QC leadership experience in food, dietary supplement, nutraceutical, or pharma manufacturing.
• Direct expertise in FDA 21 CFR Part 111 (Dietary Supplements) and Part 117 (Preventive Controls) regulations.
• Active HACCP and PCQI certifications with hands‑on experience maintaining GFSI systems like BRCGS.
• Proven track record leading successful regulatory, customer, and third‑party facility audits.
• Demonstrated background managing batch production records, material specifications, and testing protocols.
