Job summary

Valmont Industries in Valley, Nebraska is seeking a Quality Control Coordinator to coordinate and execute internal and external inspections and audits. You will develop, revise and enforce QC procedures and collaborate with vendors, customers and 3rd party auditors across sites to implement action plans.

Responsibilities include SPC analysis, participating in continuous improvement, training, and ensuring adherence to customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 2+ years quality control experience OR 5+ years QC experience.
• Must have two years of experience in a steel fabrication setting.
• AWS CWI certification or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• Level II MT/UT certifications per ASNT-TC-1A or strong NDT knowledge.
• Proficient with computer usage (MS Office).
• Able to communicate effectively by multiple means.

Responsibilities

• Performs SPC data gathering, analysis and processing.
• Observe production activities and recommend action plans; follow up for implementation.
• Represent QC on continuous improvement task forces.
• Develop and modify inspection and processing procedures and work instructions.
• Provide QC support to other Valmont locations; coordinate with vendors and auditors.
• Act as backup QC Supervisor/Manager as needed.
• Coordinate training to support departmental and customer needs.
• Coordinate customer inspections with 2nd/3rd party inspectors.
• Review documents to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
