Job summary

RJW is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator in Perris, CA, working 1st shift Monday to Friday, 7am–3:30pm. The role supports the QA team to develop and maintain quality systems for products and processes.

Essential duties include adherence to GMP policies, participation in audits, and driving continuous quality improvements. This position requires 3–5 years in QA and SAS/traceability tooling experience, with growth opportunities within the Employee Ownership Program.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; QA experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years in quality assurance, preferably in GMP environments.
  • SQF and HACCP certifications required.
  • Strong communication and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with MS Office, TraceGains, Alchemy, and Sedex.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety, health, GMP policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and related activities.
  • Assist in customer complaints investigations and corrective actions.
  • Interact with supervisors and managers to share best practices.
  • Support monitoring programs for distribution and processing and GMP.
  • Maintain documentation in TraceGains and QMS programs.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and track findings.
  • Lead training for current and new team members.

Job Purpose:The Quality Assurance Coordinator will support the Quality Assurance team with developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability for the organization’s products and/or development processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands, follows, and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
  • Assist in customer complaints investigation and corrective action process.
  • Interact with other supervisors/managers within RJW to share best practices.
  • Assisting in monitoring current programs in quality assurance as it pertains to distribution and processing as well as uphold the tenants of GMP.
  • Assisting with QMS programs, review integrated pest management system, and documentation compliance in Tracegains system.
  • Be a part of the internal audit team and participates actively in the scheduled food safety and facility GMP audits.
  • Be a part of the food safety team, assists with maintaining the food safety plan and updates SOPs as required.
  • Performs activities to support the quality system, quality policy, quality procedures, work procedures.
  • Assisting with maintaining compliance of all Food Safety and Quality Programs including GMP, Organic and cGMP.
  • Participate in and lead, where appropriate, internal and external audits or visits and prioritize, assign and track the audit findings for completion.
  • Documentation control and creation. This includes updating, reviewing, and assistance in evaluation of current and prop
  • Assisting maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of CFR for food, OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Dietary Supplements for warehouse and transportation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Alchemy, Tracegains, Sedex, and other software.
  • Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
  • Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments, customers, and auditors.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
  • Collaborates well with others, proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.
  • Be able to lead and train current and new members.

Qualifications Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years of working in quality assurance
  • 3-5 years of working in a GMP facility (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • SQF and HACCP certifications required
