Job summary

RJW Transport, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to support the QA department in developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality and reliability system for products and development processes.

The role involves implementing QA programs, assisting with AIB/BRC, audit participation, pest management review, and maintaining the food safety plan while updating SOPs. Strong CFR knowledge and GMP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and 2+ years in a GMP facility.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of CFR for food, OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Dietary Supplements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Alchemy.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs for distribution and processing in line with GMP.
  • Assist with AIB/BRC programs, audit pest management and TraceGains documentation compliance.
  • Support root cause and corrective action activities.
  • Participate in internal audits and food safety/GMP audits.
  • Assist in maintaining the food safety plan and updating SOPs as required.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to share best practices.
  • Support the quality system, quality policy, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all Food Safety and Quality Programs including GMP, Organic and CGMP.

Job description

Job Purpose:

The Quality Assurance Coordinator will assist with the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability for the organization's products and/or development processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor current programs in quality assurance as it pertains to distribution and processing as well as uphold the tenants of GMP.
  • Assisting with AIB/BRC programs, review integrated pest management system, and documentation compliance in Tracegains system.
  • Assist in root cause / corrective action activities.
  • Be a part of the internal audit team and participates actively in the scheduled food safety and facility GMP audits.
  • Be a part of the food safety team, assists with maintaining the food safety plan and updates SOPs as required.
  • Interact with other supervisors/managers within RJW to share best practices.
  • Performs activities to support the quality system, quality policy, quality procedures, work procedures.
  • Ensure compliance of all Food Safety and Quality Programs including GMP, Organic and CGMP.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of CFR for food, OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Dietary Supplements for warehouse and transportation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers and auditors.
  • Project management skills and proficiency in analyzing and interpreting test data
Qualifications Required:
  • High School Diploma2+ years of working in a GMP facility (preferred)Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Alchemy, and other software.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
