Job summary

RJW Logistics Group seeks a Quality Assurance Coordinator for 1st shift in Texas. You will support the QA team by developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems across distribution and processing, under the QA supervisor's direction.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in QA, GMP experience, SQF/HACCP certifications, and strong communication. Proficiency with CFRs, MS Office, Tracegains, and related software is expected, along with a commitment to safety, accuracy, and timely audits.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CFR for food, OTC, medical devices, cosmetics, and dietary supplements for warehouse and transportation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Alchemy, Tracegains, Sedex, and other software.
  • Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
  • Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments, customers, and auditors.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
  • Collaborates well with others, proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.
  • Be able to lead and train current and new members.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, follow, and enforce all established safety, health, quality GMP and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
  • Assist in customer complaints investigation and corrective action process.
  • Interact with other supervisors/managers within RJW to share best practices.
  • Assist in monitoring current programs in quality assurance as it pertains to distribution and processing and uphold the tenants of GMP.
  • Assist with QMS programs, review integrated pest management system, and documentation compliance in Tracegains system.
  • Be a part of the internal audit team and participate actively in scheduled food safety and facility GMP audits.
  • Assist with maintaining the food safety plan and update SOPs as required.
  • Perform activities to support the quality system, quality policy, quality procedures, and work procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance of all Food Safety and Quality Programs including GMP, Organic, and cGMP.
  • Participate in and lead, where appropriate, internal and external audits or visits and prioritize, assign, and track audit findings for completion.
  • Document control and creation, including updating, reviewing, and assisting in evaluation of current and proposed documents.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Purpose

Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma.
  • 3-5 years of working in quality assurance.
  • 3-5 years of working in a GMP facility (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • SQF and HACCP certifications required.
