Job summary

Canon Business Process Services, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Coordinator to ensure QA SOPs are followed in our Rhode Island warehouse. You will research discrepancies, coach Material Handlers on processes, and perform audits to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

You will lead daily zone audits, collect data, generate reports, and support the logistics team with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring timely responses to inquiries.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; SAP and MS Office experience preferred.
  • Experience with problem analysis, investigation and reporting documentation.
  • Leadership roles such as project/team/manager experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

Overview

The Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring all QA SOPs are followed within the warehouse. This will include researching discrepancies, coaching the Material Handlers on processes, and performing audits.

Responsibilities
  • Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
  • Determine root cause of order/transactions and assist in development of process improvement plans.
  • Communicate inventory discrepancies to the logistics team for remediation. When necessary, assist in process to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate daily zone audits to identify slotting issues that limit replenishment accuracy.
  • Collect data and prepare reports as may be required by Warehouse Manager or other departments.
  • Assist warehouse in order issues, product returns and nonconforming product.
  • Coach and retrain material handlers in proper inventory let downs, replenishments, and complete transactions in WMS
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and zero bin audits.
  • Responsible for answering warehouse and client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist all warehouse employees with location of inventory materials.
  • Monitor daily Fill Rate report and identify root cause of daily kills.
  • Communicate Fill rate information to operational management.
  • Identify product dim and weight issues and assist with correctly updating for all materials in WMS database
  • 80-100% of time related to Inventory-related duties.
  • 0-20% of time related to Continuous Process Improvement, Training, Guiding and Mentoring related duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS/MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Outdoor weather related demands – Open air dock areas
  • Long periods of time spent on feet
  • Requires hearing, eye, head, safety vest protection
  • May require some lifting
  • May require use of fork lift, pallet jack, and turret
  • Mental qualifications include ability to perform all responsibilities efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to document any damage that takes place in dock area
  • Valid Driver’s License
Qualifications
  • Must have at least a High School diploma or the equivalent
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Lotus Notes applications, SAP (or other MRP bases systems)
  • Experience and training in problem analysis, investigation and report documentation
  • Project Leader, Team Leader, Manager, experience
  • Ability to manage/monitor schedules (e.g.: lead times for parts/tools delivery timing to customer)
  • Ability to create reports/documentation/graphs/etc.
  • Knowledge of Building Intelligence system helpful but not required
  • Basic MS Word skills
  • Must read, write, and speak clear English, additional languages helpful but not required.
  • Must be able to pass drug and criminal background screenings.
  • Must receive and pass HazMat Awareness Training.
  • Customer Service and problem solving skills
