Job Description:The Quality Control Coordinator works under the direction of the Quality Control Manager in administrating the quality control program for CeDUR – Roofing Shakes manufacturer center based on company quality standards. This position focuses on assisting with inspection of manufactured part quality and ensure product meets company standards and communicating issues and concerns to the QC Manager. This position will play a key role in supporting and enhancing our quality programs and processes, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.
Most time spent in this position involves working on the warehouse floor assisting with the inspection for manufacturing of roofing parts such as shakes, starters, hip and ridge pieces on a fast-paced production line to maintain CeDUR standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and document the part defects in categories and record them hourly based on production.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control programs and processes.
- Perform inspections and audits of products at high paced manufacturing for parts made by CeDUR, such as roofing shakes starters, hip and ridge pieces on a fast-paced production line in order to maintain CeDUR standards of quality.
- Responsible for monitoring and documenting quality metrics to ensure compliance with standards.
- Pay close attention to damaged or inferior products and bring to the attention of Quality Control Management.
- Use of Excel data entry into spreadsheets. Use of email application, Word and PowerPoint use and forms filling is part of everyday reporting.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to address and resolve quality issues.
- Communicate quality standards and expectations clearly to team members.
- Provide support for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintains a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.
- Preferably, having experience with forklifts and/or pallet jacks is a plus, not mandatory.
- Willingness to take on other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required. (Additional education in quality management or a related field is a plus, not mandatory)
- 1-2 years of experience of Quality Control experience or working with any quality processes such as conducting audit / inspection experience, knowledge of International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC) preferred not mandatory.
- Ability to work well without close supervision and as part of a team
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Basic proficiency with MS Office, Excel and Internet applications
- Commitment to upholding quality standards and passion for improving driving skills.
- Bilingual preferred but not mandatory. Speaking Spanish a PLUS, not mandatory.
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Access to reliable transportation required to be at work before the shift.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods without any supervised / medical restrictions.
- Capability to work in a manufacturing or production environment with moderate high noise levels from Machinery and Equipment, conveyor belt noise and releasing compressed air tanks for manufacturing of our roofing material.
- Proficient in various physical activities such as lifting, bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling (maximum of 50 lbs./25kg) on a frequent basis is a must. Lifts in excess of 50 pounds will be assisted lifts.

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift 3PM to 1AM

- Night Shift Available ONLY - Do not apply unless you are willing to work this shift and are comfortable with the schedule as this will be a permanent 2nd shift position until we have enough staff to have monthly shift rotation.
