Job summary

Abilities First, Inc. is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to lead the agency’s QA, incident management, and corporate compliance functions. This role oversees internal monitoring, audits, and readiness for state oversight while guiding policy development and staff training.

The Director collaborates with leadership and the Board, reports to the CAO/CEO, and drives continuous quality improvement. The position is full-time, exempt with a salary range of $88,600–$97,500, commensurate with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive leadership or oversight in OPWDD-regulated or similar organization.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Strong knowledge of federal and NY regulations and oversight requirements.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and identify organizational risk.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Valid New York State driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, training, and development for QA staff.
• Oversee Incident Management Program including investigations and corrective actions.
• Oversee internal audits, monitoring, and readiness for external reviews.
• Identify trends and risks from data and report to leadership.
• Develop and maintain Corporate Compliance policies and HIPAA/FERPA compliance.
• Chair Corporate Compliance Committee and report to CAO/CEO and Board.
